no wake zone question in hudson

in the boat launch at hudson it says no wake zone in south hudson bay, so that means i can drive fast in the bay area south of the swing train bridge right. is that considered north hudson bay area. i see people driving fast there all the time and wonder if its alright.

From what I understand I’ve consulted with the sheriff about this on the river before, you can go on plane in the North bay but not in the main channel and not in the south bay.
