Nice steady slow drop continues. She is 679.9 feet today (675.5′ is normal pool elevation) and is predicted to be at 678.5′ on April 23rd. Islands are just starting to be clear of the high water. Looks like we could have normal pool elevation for the opener. Turk – your prediction of near normal water levels for opener looks to be coming true.

Water temp was 50 degrees on Wednesday – this sun seems to be doing its magic. I got my first channel cat on Tuesday so this warming water is good for early cats. I was out Wednesday chasing white bass but I still couldn’t find any. They should be turning on any day now too.

I’ll be out Sat afternoon from the Bluffs, will you be out Steve? Anyone else? Maybe the front coming Sat eve will stir something up.

I’ll be out tonight chasing cats. Twins game starts at 1910 so I want to settle in and listen to the game and hopefully catch a few cats. Weather for tonight sounds good – winds calm – perfect night for cats.
