Drove by Andersen Point today, and there was two fish traps out there. I called Tim, at the bait store, and he said there was a guy in there today that walked out. The man said it took 4 good wacks with a spud before he was through. There was also a shack infront of the A-frame building today. Be safe to anyone heading out. I gave up ice fishing.

Has, Tell me it isn’t so? You gave up ice fishing? Did you get hit in the head or what? You must be temporarily dazed and confused? The best fishing of the year is about to start and you are retiring to the sidelines. What happened to you, son. It’s not too late to change your mind. What are you going to do all winter? You taking up crochet or one of those other girly man kind of hobbies. On your feet! Put the shed in the back of the truck and head for the river. Walleyes, Sauger, Sturgeon, Northerns, Muskies, Crappies, White Bass, Channel cats, Sheepies, etc., etc,. How can you give that up. It is time to go ice fishing –

December 12, 2003 at 5:40 pm #285017Never, i’m gona take up reading or some other hobbie that doesn’t consist of sitting around drinking cold ones.
December 12, 2003 at 8:36 pm #285034Has – You can’t give up on ice fishing on the St Croix. You are one of the designated Moderators / Gladiators / Terminators / Masturbators / Agitators / etc./ etc for the St Croix River forum. You were hand picked for the job by “Somebody”. You gonna let “Somebody” down? “Somebody” has to be paying you big bucks for the moderatin duties. What are you holding out for free agency status? You using the Eddie Guardado strategy for more perks? You are supposed to provide Fast Breaking news and updates on the St Croix. You are supposed to police the posts of the likes of StillaPup and Beach Brian. How we gonna know what the real fishing info is, if you are sitting by the fire with your knitting needles in your hands? You gotta get out there and do this moderatin stuff for the forum. Time to go fishing – get off your warm, toasty ass and go sit on a 5 gallon bucket on the ice like the rest of us. Lets go – “On your feet”!!. Its off to work you go. We are expecting at least weekly updates with the latest trends in technique and ice conditions.

Did you drop your cell phone in the river again? Is that what this is all about?

Hey! That’s great if we’re talking hobbies………….but isn’t fishin’ a way of life??? I’ve been sittin’, standin’, floatin’, slidin’, casting, drilling, hooking, and missing without the use of “cold one’s” since the beginning. Not that I’m anybody’s posterchild……….but what I’m saying is if you want to expand your knowledge base, take the book out with you on the ice! If you’ve got time to sit around with “cold ones”, just reapply activity to the same time availability!
December 15, 2003 at 8:03 pm #285223Now I know has got some screws loose! That’s the best part of fishing!!!!!
