I was just looking at the Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Service website for the St Croix and they are predicting a 3.9 foot rise in the St Croix by 23 March. Today the river is at 675.72′ and its predicted to rise to 679.6′ by 7:00am on March 23rd. That should bring a quick end to the ice fishing season. Here is the link to the website:

Ditto to Steveo! What’s no wake feet again? I’ll keep an eye on the Bluffs launch now daily and report here.

My daily commute takes me over the Hwy 10 bridge into Prescott, the river is open about 300 yards north of the lift bridge, with litle to no ice in the sippi from Hastings. the ramp in Prescott is open and the docks in the water but I haven’t seen much activity on the water as of yet, (still a little early for that area). The ice still on the Croix is an erie green color, it won’t last long til it’s broken up and floating away.
