Watching St Croix River Levels

    Most of us that drive on the St Croix during ice fishing season watch the ice access points closely at this time of year. If we get any kind of snow melt and runoff in the spring it usually deteriorates the ice access point at Hubs Point in Bayport. I usually follow the river gage reading at Stillwater but for some reason I could not get it to work this morning. I always go to the National Weather Service Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Service website to watch the river level also. Once the spring and summer fishing season is in full swing this website helps to watch river level fluctuations and get a feel for fishing conditions. I thought I would post this website link so you could watch to see if we get any kind of rise in river levels in the next few weeks.
