Headed downto the Croix abot 1:45 and met up with JJ to catch the evening bite.
I got set and was fishing by 2:15 and within ten minutes i had a nice crappie in the pail.
Hmm, sounds like last report? It does and it was just like last time, it was slow and then the screen lights up and bobbers down!
3:30 was the time, two lines down and two bobbers down.Fun, but you miss alot and loose fish if any lines gets slack fishing in 32ow.
By 4:30 it was over with 7 nice fish in the pail,a couple throw backs and around 8-9 missed or lost fish.
    What a blast!!
Sorry JJ, i guess the real weeds might seem to be helping a little?
Once again, #8 moon glows with crappie minnows.Color didn’t seem to matter.

    Nice
You mentioned real weeds in 30+ ft.of water. Do you run into trouble getting tangled in the weeds when reeling in fish? How far apart or what pattern are you using when laying out the weeds in the deep stuff?
    Thanks

We have been on a steep drop, with the real weeds line (1)
    north of holes,current running south,southest.
Fish come off breakline and seem to like the weeds, maybe because there isn’t any no weeds nearby?
Top of breakline is 15′ and drops off to about 35’fow real fast.Maybe, in less than 15′.

nice, I wish I could get out of work early enough to get out there. The earliest I could get there is 4, which seems to be about when they are slowing up. I told the wife a few weeks ago I was going to quit my job so I could fish more but then she said that I wouldn’t be able to buy any more stuff or go on my hunting trips, so I’m still working I’ll just have to join the weekend crowds.

Nice fish, I do enjoy watching the spring bobber for those light biters, but watching the bobber ever so slowly going down the hole is a blast!

hmmmm. Thinking of going this afternoon. Now I have to decide between chasing the crappie dream on the Croix or chasing a more certain outcome someplace else for gills. Thanks alot for the dilemma!!!!!
