I know its too early to be thinking about the hardwater season but why not.We were able to get a few northers through the ice this weekend up in northern wisconsin. There was 3 inches but by sunday it was getting ugly and with the forcast it looks like it will be a while yet b4 ice.
Just wondering if any contest is ever put together on the croix for wallys or crapies.

Don’t know of any contests on the river ice. Fishing is somewhat limited by where there’s safe ice. I have never done super good on river and lack the optimism now to put in hard time there. Hope to have my mind changed.
