    It’s been pretty quite in here lately. Anyone been out on the river lately? How is the ice from Bayport on up?

    The bite was on today, my bro stopped by at dinner time with 14 nice slab crappies.
    26-30′ fow glow jig tipped with crappie minnows.
    Give me a call JJ…….

    I spent the New years Eve chasing walleye’s on Wapo and ended up with just a few perch, 14″ of ice out there though. Hope fully the bite is still on I am hitting the river shortly here this morning

    I travel of the the I94 bridge everyday and have noticed a number of pop up shacks south of the bridge a bit. Also I have seen just the past few days a good number of pop ups south east of the bridge off what seems to be a point about a mile down the shoreline. Fishing crappies eyes or what?

    I fish down there almost every day. yes saugers and walleyes. it’s still very slow and no size yet on the fish, lots of sorting to get 1 or 2 keepers.. Another few weeks yet before it gets better.. usally the last month of season is the best..
