Got on the water around 6:30am and motored to a spot I never fished and a spot I havent fished in years in search of some “River Rat” winning eye’s. The day started off good with low winds and good bite. first fish of the day was a short sauger with three missed bites and another short sauger. My next spot landed me a 17 1/2 in eye so I got out of there in hopes of preserving the bite in that area till next weekend. Off to my usual fishing holes. I ended the day with 2 short saugers 2 short walleyes a smallmouth and the 17 1/2 in eye and some wind burn.I am going to pay for getting up so early and going fishing as I have to work a 12 tonight 3-3 
I sure hope it is not that windy next weekend.
