Well, today is first day on the river in twelve days 
. I’ve been busy with WORK!!! Figured I’d get out for a couple of hours this morning. I fished from 10am-12pm. Fishing was a bit slow but I didnt have time to try very many spots. My first stop was to Beanies for some bait man there has been some nice eyes caught on the river this summer. Seen a 12 lber pictured even 
. At my first stop I was in 18-22 FOW and pulled a 17 inch walleye drifting a leech so I thought I’d stick around and do another drift. Hooked into a 5 lb fish that was grunting at me and had whiskers and stuff, left my line all slimey…I think BK fishes for them silly things. Being as I pulled a walleye from the spot I tried another drift to hook into an 8 lb silly fish ( I think it was meowing). So it was enough of that and headed to the next spot closer to home. There was a boat trolling the general area so I made one drift and left headed upstrem to a spot I found with the electronics a few weeks back and had some luck, the fishing was slow but I did manage to get into a few more eye’s the biggest coming in at 23 3/4 inches out of 22 FOW on a pink hook live bait rig. I also caught 3 of them elusive smallmouths, after the first few drifts I thought I was going to have a day without them pesky things. Hopefully I can get out more often again as things arent so hectic.
