1st time post, long time reader. Hello fellow river rats. I understand fishing has been slow. Is it due to the water temps not meeting the required temp to have the “Pig” walleyes put on the feed bag? From my observation, the temp needs to be around 50 degrees or less. I look forward to your input. When reading the different posts over the last couple of years, it appears your a great bunch of fishermen. Is there a league on the croix in the summer that has an opening? Look forward to your replies. Thanks Outty

    Welcome aboard Mr.Outty from Stillwater!
Someone else will have to answer the question about the league. It would take away from my fishing time…weighing in fish and talking!
Man, I wish I had the answer to your slow bite question! I know the temp is still a little high, but I don’t know if slow is the correct word!
Then again, I hear some people are doing quite well. I’m not calling fisherman liars, but the people I know and fish with say…well it’s slow.
We have to be hitting to sweet 50 mark in the next couple days. With the rain on Friday, I’m thinking Saturday should be the day.

In fact if my hooking ability doesn’t improve here in the next couple weeks, James is going to take my hat back!

Looking forward to seeing your posts on how well you did!

    See ya on the water!

i would have to agree with slow..as far as the fishing goes, but there was some talk a year ago or so about a fishing club on the croix, but havent heard anything since.
