I was out last night long lining raps (dt 16 black and silver) from Prescott to Kinni, only one short sauger and 2 smallies. I tried pitching jigs tipped with minnows onto rock shorline slowly bringing it back, nothing. Just wondering if anyone else was having better luck.

I was out last week and it was super slow. Plan on hitting the water tommorrow early and see what happens. I hope from your report it’s the lull before the good bite starts. And I hope it’s Wed. I will post a report tommorrow night.

Got out last night to try for some eyes after dark. Pitched K-Grubs at sand points in some very shallow water with some success. managed a few eyes and it was fun to catch them pitching jigs as opposed to trolling. It was blowing really hard and that limited the area’s we could hold and fish. fished mostly bayport pool. Have been getting a few nice crappies around bridge pilings on slip bobber & minnow as well.

Went long line trolling cranks from the Kinnie to Prescott on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m to about 3:30 p.m. Very slow had three small Sauger and one small Walleye no keepers.Saw some schools of large Carp rolling on the surface near the harbor that had the closed gate for some time this spring. Wonder what they were up to — must have seen 50 or 60 backs out of the water in ten minute period.
