I fished the Croix yesterday and had a struggle because the water levels were so high and the time (12-5pm). I’m trying to decide why I struggled. For those of you who have fished the Croix for bass lately how has it been? Have the high water levels effected the fish much. Do you need to go a little deeper because a lot of the rocks are under water now. Does time of day make a big difference here. One other question how is the smallmouth fishing north of the Kinni Narrows? Where might a few areas be? Any towns on the river better than the next? I put in in Hastings on the Miss. Am I starting in the wrong spot. Thanks
