This post is more of a warning.I went out from the bluffs sunday and had my starter go out on me when we went to launch off the river. The park was ok with my truck and boat there for the night so I left it and got a ride home.
When I left I took as much as I could but left my minnows, battery, life jacket and net everything else was locked down. When I came back w/the new starter my
battery, one jacket and the minnow bucket was gone.I must trust people too much, but I think other areas like a public
launch I might have been more carefull.Just a heads up to the good people down there.Might be a week or two b4 I can
afford some new gear but I will send in a report when I get back out
On a good note we pulled in a few nice crappies biggest was
    14 1/4 in(nice and fat)

    JROD,

That really sucks. Maybe I have a link for you. Sunday night at our house in Afton(a long the river) my dads brand new Chevy puck-up, plus his feather-lite trailer(all hunting gear including 4 beneli shotguns) were stolen from our yard. Not a high crime area to say the least. His truck was found on Tuesday in Cottage Grove, and all was gone. Kinda pisses a brother off , the truck is fine except for the dome light. Live and learn I guess.

Dude that really sucks, you could’ve thrown the stuff in my truck, I would’ve given it back…. Never thought about it.. I’m suspecting you were the nice guy with the beautiful GF that showed me a couple very nice crappies. I was the guy with the blue ford, red lund, just heading out.

Sorry to hear about you guys’s misfortune! Big bummer! This kind of stuff is making me think a trail cam could be quite handy for portable surveilance!

    Thieves Suck!

Hey, I have a gently used deep cycle battery, extra life jacket, net, bucket and anything else you can use to get back on the water. It’s Prime Time! Can’t be side lined due to a thief.

Call and leave a message 651.343.9318. (I’m in St Paul close to 94 and White Bear Ave.)

We have enough things in this world to worry about other than gutless theives taking our stuff. I don’t know how them people live with themselves.
That is a classy thing to do helping out a fellow fisherman Jon J. It is nice to know there are still a few good souls out there.

Cant thank you enough for the offer. It was too nice out this weekend to wait, so I had to break down and pull out the plastic for some new gear.Has I am sorry to hear about your dads bad run of luck with these a** holes. After hearing that I didnt feel as bad,at least my truck and boat was still at the launch.
Fishing slowed a little for me this weekend. The walleye
are getting smaller (olny 1 legal)and crappies have slowed a little to but still getting a few in areas.Maybe it will pick up a bit when the water starts cooling again?
