Made it out yesterday evening for a couple of hours with Big Pike Mike, mostly as a boat test after repairs.
The water is up into the gravel lot at Beanies-bring big boots or waders for launching!
We stuck to the hudson channel for the most part, and the ripping current and strong north wind made for tough fishing conditions. We mostly rigged with crawlers with few bites and a skinny 18″ to show for it. The clams were snapping more then the fish.
It was nice to get out for the first time this year.
