Fished the Croix today. Caught my limit all were saugers and one walleye. I caught lots of fish. Biggest was a 31 inch walleye and a 24 inch walleye. Those came from down a ways in pool 3. My limit fish all came from the Croix. I caught around 15 fish. Lots of shorts.
Also got a 21 inch sauger. Two sauger I kept still had eggs. Caught the 24 inch eye on jig and minnow. All others came trolling cranks and handlining.Number 5 Firetiger shad rap color was the hot lure.
All fish came from around 20 feet of water.
