    Wow! What a morning. Nice to be on the river in the crisp air. Started trolling near Prescott, No good. Picked up a brother at The park and headed North. Nothing much to show as far as walleye’s as we only caught 1 legal. It was the smallies!!! My brother was casting a Ringie to shore and something SMASHED it!!!! Turned out to be a 20″ Smallie. 4.6# on my scale. Largest smallie i’ve ever seen! I followed that up with a 16″er. Not as impressive but it sure was a blast!!!!! Not many people catching but were a lot fishing!

    I was out yesterday afternoon. Couldn’t make it happen trolling cranks. Tried from Prescot north for a long ways.
    Ended up seeing some nice smallie action on shoreline rubber minnow. No big ones caught but I did bust off on a nice fish. Don’t know if it was a pike or my knot was old and weak. Didn’t see any minnow action down there like there is up on the big water by Hudson??
