st croix muskies

    back in feb of 2000 my friend caught a muskie that went 46″ by 25″ out of the nsp plant channel since then weve been trying to locate muskies elsewhere throughout the river to no avail anyone have any general info on where to start for muskies on the croix? any help is very much appreciated thanks chris

    Hi Chris…

    I don’t fish for them toothy fish…I’m afraid of them. But my wife and I have caught a few this year. I would suggest any place that you have a large area of fairly shallow water that has some weeds near by. What comes to mind is the area north of the 94 bridge on the WI side, the Afton area and the Kinni area.

    Our local guide, HAS is an expert with the Mighty Muskie. He would be able to help you better than I.
