Got out and did some fishing this morning 8am-12pm before the wind and cold sets in. The crappie bite is still good, but is hit and miss as anywhere. Managed to ice 8 keepers, 8 throw-backs and 5 fish hooked but didnt get them to the hole before they spit the hook. Fish were about a foot off the bottom and gobbled up fatheads and crappie minnows. The crappies have not been as aggressive this past week as they have been earlier, biting very slow and very soft after alot of jigging. More lookers and sniffers than there was biters.
