2/5 report

Fished 10-3 on 2/5. Lots of people out. Most I talked to reported it slow, but catching a few. Started off in 33 feet near the highlines. Marked lots of fish, and had a few hits with only one mud puppy to show for it. I then moved down to the WI side across from Bayport and fished from 16-30 feet. Every hole I drilled had a fish sitting right on bottom that would come up to look at my spoon and then move off. Finally caught a fat 10 inch perch, unusual for the St. Croix. Oh well, it was a gorgeous day. Good Luck!

I was out yesterday about the same time… started just south of the Shanty Town in the WI side… fished 34 fow, caught a few whities… moved to 30ish feet, caught a mudpuppy (those things are UUUGGGGLYYY!!!). Moved a more shallow (about 22 fow) and caught some perch…

All in all, not what I was hoping for but it was such a nice day out there… Don’t know when I’ll get back out but I’ll be giving it another try soon!
