  • #1228167

    Hey Guys,

Where abouts would I go to find the croix access by malileau? I see alot of guys takin that access onto the croix with their vehicles, but I have no idea where its at.

I normally walk across from the beach house marina, since i dont have a pair large enough to drive across the entire river

    Any help is appreciated!!

The access you are asking about is not called Malileau Access. There is no drive on access near Malileau Dam. The access on the Wisconsin shore near North Hudson is called Ferry Landing Access. Here are the directions to Ferry Landing Park:
In North Hudson, Wisconsin; from Highway 35 take Sommer Road west for 0.3 mile to Gallahad Road. Turn right and go 0.2 mile to the unimproved ramp in Ferry Landing Park. Loose sand and ice plus a steep approach make the hill difficult at times so be cautious.
The ice is plenty thick now to access the river on the Minnesota shore at Hubbs Point in Bayport. If you live in Minnesota that is the easiest way to get on the river. From Hubbs Point follow the well established ice road across the river to the Wisconsin side and then you can follow the road north to the High Lines.

The street off from 35 is actually Sommers st N . (Thats where my house is) . the hill to and from the river is very icy rite now see alot of people having problems in 2wd vehicles. I drove across the river yesterday seems safe. Dont really want to be driving much futher south due to unstable river ice. Ill be out there in the early am fishin.
