While driving my son back to school in St Paul the other day, I noticed two guys out on the ice just south of the I-94 bridge. If you know that area, they were out by the two deeper holes about half-way across the river. Are they crazy for being out there or am I just a chicken-scat???
The entire channel on the north side of bridge and along the MN side south of the bridge was wide open and there was a lot of open water by the dike. I wouldn’t think the ice would be very thick out there and I’d be worried about spots of very thin ice that near the bridge.
