Just moved to Hudson from Hastings Mn. . I spent most of my summer running up and down the Croix to find the “hot spots” in between Prescott and Stillwater . I had no problems finding some nice crappies , catfish , smallmouths , white/stripped bass , sauger and walleye .
Problem is I never ice fished the river much , one or two times maybe by Prescott with no luck at all . So I am hoping that when I venture out onto the river ice I can track down the fish . I am open to any tips and tricks y’all might have about fishing the river . I live a block or two away from the North Hudson access so that will be my primary fishing grounds however I’d like to get down to afton too only for the fact that the HOT SPOTS map says the catfish bar is good for trophy’s thru the ice .
