Looking for the 50 inch musky near the kinni area. was out yesterday from 3 til dark throwing green bucktails, jackpots, crank baits non stop with one hit that left some marks on the jerk bait. fished both the wisco and minn sides. both the riprap and mouth of the kinni. i’m wondering if there is something else i could try or something i’m doing wrong. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks, rob
this time of the year I always like to set a big sucker minnow up on a quick strike rig. 10″ to 16″ if you can find them. sometime a fish will follow an artificial to the boat, spot the live bait and the tussle is on. be sure to incorporate a big bobber. I usually don’t add any weight. make sure to put the bait clicker on if you have one. nice thing about the quick strike is as soon as you see the bobber go down, you can hammer ’em.
