Prescott 10/26

Fished t he docks in Prescott from 10-3 on Friday with my favorite 4 year old fisherman. Quite a few boats were out and right away we saw lots of rods bending, but mostly saw dinks. It took us a while to get our first fish, but finally pulled in a 16 inch sauger (my son’s first) and another smaller sauger. Lots of encouraging signs of a good bite (full stringers on other boats), but we weren’t doing something right. We only got bit on 3-ways with fatheads. Nice day anyway!

Sounds nice to be out with your boy, that’s what it’s about as you know. I think speed is important when trolling this time of year how fast were you going in relation to the other boats? That may be part of the catchin’ solution.
I try to get my ten year old out but he never wants to go, we do other stuff, but he just doesn’t have the bug like I did at his age. Hopefully we he will when he’s older though…
