20 Hp Evinrude L-Unit

    Wish I could of been here the last few weeks to respond to some of the posts…. however… there’s this little thing called a VIRUS that kept me from doing so. Anyway… to the point… I think my boat motor has a virus… 20 Horsepower Evinrude with a bad lower unit. I am considering having it rebuilt. Any suggestions on whose services I should use? Anyone know what it runs $ to have this done? Any replys are more then welcome! Please!

    I’d recommend Maplewood Marine at 651-776-0645. They are an authorized Johnson/Evenrude service center. I had a lower unit on a Johnson 40hp totally rebuilt there. They got it done in 2 days for about $600 if I remember correctly. (That was 6-7 years ago)

    Thanks for your response Jon! I’ll give them a try…. If it ends up setting me back $600 I may invest in a new motor…….
