Haven’t been out in nearly a month – work schedule has been crazy as well as family commitments. This weekend, I’m wide open this afternoon and tomorrow. Just wish the darn weather would have cooperated. Any thoughts on how this system will affect the bite? Suggested adjustments to presentation??

The river doesn’t seem to be as affected by weather changes as lakes are. I have had some great fishing after a weather change when logic said it should have been slow. All you can do is give it a shot. Live bait should still be going but trolling cranks is going too. If it was me I would head to Pool 3 and work the wingdams but thats just me. I guarantee you that you will do better on the water than at home thinking about it. Pack the raingear and go for it. Good luck and let us know how you do.

This rain we seem to have forecasted stinks. It cancelled a get together of a bunch of us on Lake Zumbro today. Sure hope the forecast is wrong so we miss the rain on Sunday. Haven’t been out since Wednesday night and I’ve got fishin pox already.
    Thanks, Bill

Hey Redneck, hows it going? Yep, the good o’l rivers are alot less effected by rain and storms than lakes are. I’ve even seen some ”very” good weights come in when we’ve had really bad weather on the river.
    Thanks, Bill

We got enough rain yesterday to fill the Cannon River up to the banks.I think it will turn the bite on…fresh water+falling temps=fall feeding frenzy

I hear ya Stuart! I think we are setting up for a good fall bite.
Bill—I am doing pretty good if I can just get a break and get back on the river. It has been awhile but I think it will be soon!
