it taped at just a smidgin’ under 20. no scale, but guessing by hefting it I would say better than 4lbs. My biggest smallie out of the ‘Croix. CPR’d and living to fight again. Quite a tussle on the M/L Avid. Have started to use the red Gammy’s for hooks and think the red color draws more strikes. IMHO Thanks guys. I don’t catch them that big very often.
Keep fishing that Croix River for ’em and you will!!! I haven’t done squat for TOW on the Croix the past 2 seasons but last time on, 17″-20″ were common catches if you stayed dedicated to finding the bigger ones.
On those rare days I could successfully manage 3 rods, I always got one 18″ or bigger. SteveO, you’re every bit as good or better stick than I am so if I can get it done out there, I KNOW you can! Prime time for piggies is upon us………..just get after ’em!
I wish I could get more time on the water. Just tough with my travel schedule.
It really helps to fish a body of water with someone who knows it like the back of his hand. Hiring a guide is such a good investment. It pay dividends year after year.
Got it on my first cast in an area I would have normally motored over.
Thanks Turk and sorry in advance about the Viking loss at Lambeau.
