I decided to do some camping and fishing. I was south of marine on the st croix.
well I hope the weekend was as good for you as it was for me. WE (girlfriend, and my cousin alli) had some asome luck We caught about 25-30 walleyes in about 6 hours in about 4-7 feet of water. It was good action and the bit was light. Our best walleye was about 19″ on down. Most of our eyes were 14 3/4. We kept 8 to eat and a few for home.
Then i went catin it was great, my cousin (who came out later) caught his first cat, so that made my night. It was about a 5 pound channel. He was excited.
that was it how was your? 
I thought I kept catching the same fish today! I caught about 6-8 that size, one 16″ eater, a few small smallies and of course, a couple sheepies. I was catching most of them in 18′-23′ fow. All in all a beatiful day to be on the river.
