    what speed does everyone “typically” pull leadcore?
    I try to stay 1.8 – 2.0 mph

    Whatever speed the walleyes “tell” me they want it. I sometimes pull lead up to 3 MPH or more.

    One thing to keep in mind is the faster you go the more drag there is on your line, thus it does not reach as deep. The general rule of thumb is that 1 color (30 feet) of lead core will get you down 5 feet, 2 colors 10 feet etc. That rule of thumb assumes you are going about 2.5 mph. So if you are going 3 mph or over you may have to let our a little more line out.
