Heading out on the river this afternoon for a few hours with my Dad. Planning to fish around Hudson for the first time this season. Probably be dragging some lindy’s through the channel and maybe long lining some cranks. Anyone been fishing this area recently with some success? Not looking for “the spot on the spot”, but some advice on what has been puting some Walleye in the boat. PM me if you want the information to stay confidential.

    Thanks in advance

Dang it Brian, that’s some funny stuff. I love the detail of the 94 bridge area.

P.S. Do you have an extra $100 bucks to so I can play T.B. ?

If you want to find some nice sheepies, I can help you out! I went out last night and fished the channel – trolled cranks, jigged, pulled lindy rigs. Caught plenty of sheeps but that was about it. I wonder if they ‘eyes have already moved out of the channel?

From those who report back to me, I’ve been hearing that live bait and a light bite have been the method of choice/experience for many. Some days are tougher than others but fish are being found.

On the cranks, I’ve been told that if you don’t have an Orange Peel Wally Diver, there’s nothing going. I may have to test this myself…. but I know it’s been a hot plug for 2 seasons in a row!

Sandbar, there were fish going last Friday when I was there in the channel between the 94 bridge and the the swinging railroad bridge…lindy rigs with leeches and jigs with either crawlers or leeches.

Thanks for the help everyone. Hopefully the Walleyes are willing.
