benefit for Suzuki

Hey all… I’d like to introduce you all to a fellow angler that’s down on his luck… he goes by “Suzuki” and is loved by all! Recently, his engine had a KA-POWWW! and left him a quarter short of dollar….

I think we should all pitch in an set up a rotating schedule for a charity benefit – the “TAKE SUZUKI OUT ON A BOAT THAT WORKS” benefit (at least a boat firing on all cylinders… kind of ironic that his boat now matches himself – not quite firing on all cylinders, a little underpowered, and probably making a lot of spitting noises) …

Sorry Mike, I couldn’t resist the bit of ribbing…

And right about now….smoking a lot!

I was wondering why we haven’t heard from Mike. I kinda thought he was laying low because of finding a secret eye hole.

    What’s the story Mike?

I must be tired… for some reason I found that line somewhat amusing…

I will take him out under one condition, he must wear a blindfold until we get to my “spot on the spot.”

One more thing, he must bring a twelve pack of Labatts.

You just nevermind my eye hole. Actually its nice to have a break. Yea right. I have no doubt I will get my time on the water even without my boat.

When you run a high-performing state of the art 2-stroke like a Suzuki you learn to live on the ragged edge of performance. After years of handing-it to supposedly bigger/faster boats I mearly burned down a cylinder. She’ll be back together soon ripping around the river.

So you squeaked a cylinder or what? Bad gas? Are you fixing it yourself or where did you take it?

If you are not up and running by then, my boat will be home next week.

You can borrow it as long as I’m along and doing the driving.

I think I might have a night open Mike.

…if it doesn’t interfer with your golf.

Sandbar took me out last night. We got plenty of eyes and even cooked some up that night. mmmm My outboard has been disassembled and diagnosed. Should be back together in a week or so. I’ll probably end up gaining 2-4 mph due to much lighter wallet……

So that’s who called with the golfy..er goofy message!

I was busy netting a 38 pounder when the phone rang…didn’t listen to it until around 3 am…I guess I should have called back then.
