Well, it only took me about 18 hours to put a legal size Walleye in the boat. I spent about six hours on the water yesterday and ended up bringing home 5 legals. The Walleyes were 20, 17, and 16. I also kept two Saugers that went 16 and 14.5. Picked up a sheepie, a silver, and a handful of short Walleye. It was another perfect day to be on the water.

Sounds like you had a good day Sandbar. Were you the guy in the black Crestliner I talked to a couple of times during our drifts? I was in the blue/white Crestliner w/60 HP Mercury motor. I didn’t have any luck but am just learning to fish the St. Croix. I was using minnows. It really was a nice day to be on the water.

I’ll be looking for a ride some night next week Buddy, Pal.
As you know my 4-cylinder turned into a 3-cylinder last night so my rig is in the shop.

Hey! Watch it there buddy. Not very many people put 5 Walleyes in the boat last Saturday like yourself. I spent close to ten hours on the water on opener and only caught one sheepie. BAAAAAAAAAAAA. I brought a nieghbor out on Sunday. He was a rookie to fishing Walleye on the Croix. He put a 20″ and a 16″ in the boat and all I caught were a few shorts and a stinking little catfish. I thought I had the catfish curse of Brian. See you out there.

I told pops you said thanks. He said no problem, except make it after 8:00 am in the future.

You should feel bad for his fishing partner who took a lot of abuse when BZZ was up 4 before being able to boat one himself.

Ya, BZZ did mention he pretty much schooled his fishing partner. I really hate that when it happens to me.

I’m not above kicking a guy when he is down.

Unfortunately, what makes you laugh can make you cry.

Fished for 4 hours on Sunday and caught 2 sheepies, 1 striped bass, and worst of all a small mouth.
