is open. they don’t have the piers in yet but you can still get out on the water. time to burn some old gas out this weekend and see if the crappie are going.

April 22, 2007 at 2:30 pm #563337it was nice to get back out on the river. boat ran great and is all set for opener. I had a surface temp of 52-53.
Unfortunately I sort of got blown off the river with that little electrical storm that came through about 2:30P. I was just throwing some jigs and k-grubs on rip-rap. No meat. I’ve had decent luck before in that area but not yesterday. another board mate says the crappie are going up by Stillwater but that’s all i can say. didn’t get that far north. with the south wind the trip up would have been fine but the trip back to Hudson would have been rough.
