If I get my honey-do’s done on Saturday, I’ll be on the water somewhere on Sunday.. was thinking about Pool 4 to do some more spring tune-up on the walleye but the idea of hitting the Croix, just to be out there and maybe try for a few crappies, sounds pretty good too. I know the Hudson launch’s are still unavailable so where else can a guy launch a boat?

the boomsite north of stillwater on highway 95. It’s public and no fee. Im not sure if Sunnyside is open yet, but stop by Jimmy’s Bait and Tackle since it is in between both those launches

I would guess you could put in at the Troy township launch. It is off of North Cove road about 4 miles south of Hudson. Its a good launch.

Hey BZZ… checked out that launch – pretty nice set up. Might just have to pony up the cash for season pass. My only real concern is the limited parking. Anyone chime in with info regarding the parking situation???

I agree, it is a real nice launch. I use it when the Hudson lakefront launch is closed. I’ve never seen the Troy launch close because of high water either. Parking can be an issue. If you get out there early or late is the best bet. You can park along the road that goes up the hill away from the river. But even that can get filled up at busy times. I can’t ever remember not being able to get a spot to park. You might have to walk a ways though. Being a resident of the city of Hudson, its still cheaper for me to launch at the lakefront. I wouldn’t recommend not paying at the Troy launch either. A buddy of mine got a ticket for it. I think it cost him about 150.00. Ouch.
