Lakefront Park Launch Closed in Hudson

the launch will be closed for the entire upcoming holiday weekend.

I saw a boat launched from the Exit 1 frontage ramp this morning but if that’s an option for the weekend, parking will be of the wading variety and VERY LIMITED! Looks like Beanies will be busy!

I drove by the public launch in stillwater today and it was already full!… I saw tickets on some windshields… Ive always wondered if some locals park their rigs there just to sow up the parking….. all I know is its impossible to park there from now through this weekend….. I used to always bring a partner and we would launch, one of us would drive to stillwater and park.. the other would take the boat and pick them up…. then we could start fishing the pilings at the bridge!…..

Any idea whether or not the Hastings launch on the sippi will be open?

They finally put up trailer parking only signs a few years ago at the launch and they enforce it. It was needed, otherwise 2 cars would hog up a trailer spot for the entire weekend Why don’t they park in town and have the boat pick them up? Rivereyes, I’m local and don’t know of any locals taking up spots??? I know of locals who just use the launch and have the wife park the rig at home. I think it’s “tourists” out for the weekend. On holiday weekends you’d better be down there on Thursday night for a parking spot. It’s been like that for years.

yeah… guess that makes more sense then the other way… the locals in Osceola do the same on the opener.. drive down with the wife… launch the boat.. and have her come back later…. works good….

they still have the pier pulled out and no parking allowed in lot for anything. water looks like it’s receding. slow, but sure
