I had a bad dream, I had a dream last night that I missed the opener, and it was the “opener of the century”. It was one of those trying to run dreams but you are in total slow motion. I tried and tried to make it to the river, but all these things kept popping up and stopping me…
Well maybe I better plan on being on the water at 4am come April 28th.

    Keep Catchin’

I like the part about “Opener of the Century”. Let’s hope that part of your dream comes true.

Yeah, I think we ought to set up a phone chain to call Turk every 15 minutes, starting at around 4:00 am, so he doesn’t miss opener. Then, we all ought to follow his boat around that day to make sure he doesn’t fall asleep again once he gets out there

The heck with Turk… He catches plenty of fish the rest of the year to worry about fishing the opener anyways. How about we just swing by his house when he’s sleeping and borrow his boat including GPS and waypoints and have him give us a call to pick him up once he wakes up. Signed, TURKWANNABE

Very funny reply posts guys! I got many good laughs off of this! I haven’t had that dream since…

Speaking of the opener that water is coming up huh? Maybe the opener could be a real good one. I had a rough go about five years ago where it was tough, it was a butt kickin’. I wish I had notes about that opener in terms of water level and water temperture, (I bet C15 does?). Either way if the opener is poor within five to ten days the bite is normally going very well, and if the opener is rockin’ – let the fun begin.
    Hope they’re biting,
    Turk

Hey Turk, You might have this already but the Army corp of Engineers website has the data available from the year 2000 forward. Water level and temp….good info! Here is a link to the site St. Croix river water level and temp records I print off one each year and put it in a file with the Hamm room tourney results along with who caught what and where…..
