Got to spend some time south of osceola today. Most of my time on the river is spent between osceola and fronconia. Since today was going to be a new water day for me that got cut short heading south on the river was a good as it got.
Found a few new walleye holes today. They even had some active eyes in them. Managed to boat about a dozen eyes. 3 legals. The live bait was what they wanted today. No takers on plastics. I think crawlers took a few more than the fatheads.
Spent all my time today fishing the channels mouths that go into the back waters. This seems to be producing some decent eyes this year. Dont let the water depth fool you on some of these channels. If there is wood near by there is a good chance there is eyes near them also.
What a great day on the river. Had one boat and 2 paddlers come by. Peace and quiet.
