Just had to start another post since I’m so dam excited about the opener this year. Looks like the weather is going to be about perfect. Perfect for pleasure craft that is. I almost wish we had some light rain on the weekend.
Sunny and warm is definitely better than the hurricane force winds we had last year on opener. Don’t forget sunscreen or you’ll pay!!
Anyone else out there as geeked as me?
I warmed up last night on a little Wiscony lake. Did very well on crappies and gills.

    Yep,

I’m getting pumped for Saturday AM. Plan to put in at the Bluffs and run all the way up to the 94 bridge area and start there. Work my way back down thru the lake, catfish, kinney! Off the water by noon when the ocean liners start cruising, or run down into pool 3 for the afternoon.

    Can’t wait!

I was just noticing my picture…I think it’s time for one without the stocking cap?!

think Im going out of Osceola and hope for the best!…. the only time you can get good numbers of decent fish up here is right now… before most of them run back down into the “lake”…… was at the ramp today.. spoke with several boats that just returned…. they said nuttin much was up out there…. of course they are not likely to say… yep we killed em! most reported a couple of whitebass….. one advantage.. no cabin cruisers up here…. another advantage… beautiful scenery….. particularly if you run up to the dalles….. (pretty much from franconia to the TF bridge, you really cant get above the bridge in a boat unless you got more guts than brains! one nasty lookin rapids!)

    Beach Brian,

Yep, made the picture switch last night. That is a walleye in the picture. The little guy is about the same size as the shad rap he bit!
