Check it out at the Corps of Engineers http://www.mvp-wc.usace.army.mil/dcp/STLM5.html
We were at the park near the bridge Sunday and there is 5′-6′ under the bridge so fishing boats can go under without a problem. The nice new cement walkway along the edge of the river is still flooded up to the top of the posts.
There was a couple guy’s slip bobbering with fatheads from shore that got a couple small walleyes while we were there.
I hope it doesn’t drop too fast, only a few days to go!

We fished Saturday near Franconia. Water was high, fast and cold. Hope it mellows a bit this week!

The water level around Marine has been holding steady for several days now. Silvers are on the move…! We picked up 6 fish and missed 3 or 4 in 2 hours of casting #5 Shad Raps Saturday afternoon. Also , caught 2lb Redhorse on a Perch color Shad Rap. The Sunshine and smell of fish on our hands was never sweeter. Come on SATURDAY….!!

I was hoping to get out this week sometimes just to check things out…. make sure Im ready for the opener and that sort of thing… every year its the same thing.. where should I open? I live up here… and this is the BEST time of year for up here.. right now there are lots more fish here then there will shortly be as they will soon drop back into the main part of the river…. I suppose I should launch from stillwater… but its so hard to find a spot to launch there! so I will probably fish out of osceola
