The ice is off

I was down at the cabin last night starting to get the docks ready for the water. From what I could see, all the ice is off the river from Prescott up to the Kinni. Only 3 short weeks, and its walleye season. Anyone out there know of any spots to try for panfish on the croix??

Sure do! Under docks….ops, wrong time of year. Not many docks out there yet

I’ve had limited success for crappies just running along the shore line looking for a fallen tree that drops into deeper water. Two years ago, you could find a couple docks that weren’t taken out in the fall and they were submurged. These were hot spots for crappied and bass.
