Hit the ‘sauger’ spot this morning… did OK for only being out for a couple of hours. We put 5 nice saugs in the box, caught a few sheepies, a very big whitie, and nice channel cat.
Hey “fish ’em all” (I know I didn’t write that correctly), nice meeting you on the water… let me know if the spots we talked about have turned on yet… next time out, I’d love to hook up some nice ‘eyes.
No luck on the other spots I fished. I should have stayed down river on the first spot I caught fish. I tried depths of 15-30 today and was never able to put a good pattern together. It seemed like the best bite was early today. I did find lots of small white bass so the future is looking good for those. My best fish today was 16 inch smallie.
Thanks for the reply… with the continued cold weather, those spots should be turning on any day now. I’ll be traveling this week but hope to get out for a while on Sunday.
