None of you have to worry about me!
I have a 40 inch curse. I have caught around 8 in the 37 to 39 inch range and never over 39 inches. Although maybe I am just saving the big one for Sat

    That’s my thought!

I think we should’ve had an eel contest too…although there are some experts out here…It would have been a fun one. Kinda like the golden trout contest??

Oh yea Marc and I are going to bring the noise, show some color. Once Hooked whiskers blesses our bait.

Dave the plate would be great if it wouldn’t be to much trouble.

    Hope it’s not PINK!

AJ, is that Gamehide you’re wearing? That blue background really makes fish stand out!

Hope I finally get to meet you!

Good stratagy, Let everyone let thier fish go thinking that there are only two spots.

That almost cost me a 2nd place in one of the Cat tournies. Never again. Every Fish falls under the tape and is documented and photoed.

    Good luck tomorrow Gang.

I got burgers and buns and chips when you smell the food stand by for the dinner bell/text message.

    I got a feeling I’m due. LOL.

Remind me to make future contest start no sooner than noon… this morning stuff can kill a cat guy!

There will be 3 paying places for the contest.. I have no idea what the amounts will be.

    Good luck everyone.

Holy hard to get a bite!!!

For a combined, rough estimate of 24 fishing hours(3 people, 8 hours)… we managed to get 1 confirmed bite(fish hooked and landed). A couple chewed up baits from who knows what(2?), and 1 missing minnow.

Holy Hannah thats a tough day.

I hope the bite picked up at the end so somebody at least got a little entertainment caused by a fish. The word was about the same for at least a few boats at mid day. Unless the feed bag turned on this evening for those who may still be out, there wont be many fish registered tomorrow, but a few of the fish that came in were respectable size, and its a VERY close race. The confirmed fish I know of are separated by just a couple inches… that could change by tomorrow depending on what the fish do this evening.

Im not sure if my face is wind-burned, sun-burned, or frost bitten.

I am going to sit in front of the tv and see what the outcome is tomorrow at Moores Bait! I’ll be there around 2.

Hanson and I had a tough…darn tuff day bite with only one 40 ” into the boat. The only good thing was the the Kinni Narrows and a number of other places were out of the wind. Moving from spot to spot was, well…wet.

The night bite turned on for us as we landed 8 sturgeon from 15 inches to….????

    It was a beautiful night!

    It was a tough day.
I was fishless untill 9:00pm while my boat mates were poking and ribbing me….. Even offering thier rod to me so I could reel a fish in, offering thier side of the boat because no fish were coming in on my side. Then it clicked and the fish turned on. From 9:00 till 11:00 the bite picked way up. ON my rods and on my side of the boat. We managed probably between 27-30 fish through out the day with 9-10 of mine coming in the span of 2 hours. We managed a double of 37’s amongst other things.
It sounds like it will be a close one. All I can say is Im glad we didnt leave right at 9:00 like I wanted to.
    See you at the shop.

Check out Dtros post to see some very unusual catches. It left us scratching our head for a couple seconds before we realized what we had.
    Stay Tuned.

Hanson and I didn’t get into 30 fish…but we were after quality. At roughly 8 pm…after landing a “good” one…I quit fishing and just baited Hanson’s hooks. He pulled in the rest of the fish for the evening.

Sent the favorite wife to Hudson at midnight for Advil…

I’m really hoping I can walk better by this afternoon.

There’s so many posts flying around, I’m not sure where to put this, but this seems like a good place.

Yes, what a slow day yesterday

No fish all morning, and with the wind raging, we took cover near the marina to cook some lunch and take a break. After eating (Thanks Larry!) we tossed out our baits and let our meal digest. We decided to head into the wind again, but not before Shamu found a fish on his line…….a BIG fish. I have 5 solid minutes of video of a fish we never seen

I can pretty much guarantee this was the biggest fish of the day, unfortunately the fish found the anchor rope and got off

We knew well enough to pull anchor, but basically didn’t want to mess with the massive anchors we had out……lesson learned

After sunset the fun really started, and a little cold it did get, but was all worth it.

I won’t spoil any surprises of size, but here’s our biggest fish along with a double and something else that found my bait……can you see the fear in my eyes?

BTW, if you look hard enough on the double pic, you can see frost on the seat

Another good time, thanks again everyone!

Drto.. I never seen anybody so happy about catching a waterdog(mudpuppy)

Although, it was more than I caught all day yesterday!

It seems to me theres going to be quite a few people standing around at Moores this afternoon with fingers crossed!

It was a cold and blustery day. I managed 10 sturgeon for the day but it took me almost 5 hours to catch the first fish. I didn’t pick up that first fish until 3:45pm when the wind started to die down. I was worried about a skunk but when the wind died down the bite picked up but all I could catch was small fish. My biggest of the day was a 34″ fish with a girth of 10″ for a score of 44. That will fall well short of the payout I’m sure.

I want to thank the crew of the Party Barge for the excellent hamburgers – those fresh off the grill hamburgers are always the best. Thanks Larry, dtro, Shamu.

I caught a Mudpuppy too – that convinced me it was time to go home. Here is a pic of my biggest fish for the day, it was kind of a wimpy fish but it was the biggest I could manage for the day.
