st croix river

    hit the st croix last sturday, went from copas to stillwater, hit a dozen walleyes(all 14 inches) and 6 smallies.
    fished again on tuesday hit 10 walleyes (3 16 inchers) and 4 smallies (nice 31/2 pounder. water temp was 68.

    Nascarfan, what is Copas? Were you trolling cranks or using live bait? Sounds like you had 2 good days of fishing!

    copas is a town north of obrien state park. we were vertical jigging for the eyes, and throwing no5 raps for the smallies.

    How where the water levels? Was thinking about heading over to franconia this after and see how the walleyes are biting. They can sure stack up in areas this time of year.

    water is WAY low, had to get out and push in a few spots.
