You dont need to worry about me in the contest unless there is a place for biggest eel then I will be a strong contender, maybe even a favorite with 5 coming into my boat last week??

Word of advice on eels.. if they do get lose in your boat and you have no carpeting and you choose to try to *end the life* of the eel rather than risk getting bit… hammering it with your rechargable spotlight doesnt work, Mrkeb’s 20# five gallon bucket doesnt work, a 220# guy stomping on the head doesnt work.. it just slides really fast across the bottom of the boat.

What does work.. grabbing and throwing it in one very fast motion before it can twist and bite you.

Only in my nightmares! Not going to happen in my boat…or any boat that I’m in….

You think I wear a PFD all the time for my looks!

What channel will you guys be on the VHF?

Where are you going to launch? I’m thinking Beanies or a marina in Afton (Windmill?). Any better options?

Good Luck All, its time for someone to get into a 60 inch fish

    Sounds like a kodak moment
I have never caught one but would love to. Or maybe thats what I think now

Cant wait to hear how it went for you guys. I was down there on thursday and gave the sturgeon my first go for the season and we ended up with 2 fish 43″ and 37″. Both hit fatheads and crawlers got some sheepies. Man I love sheepheads

Just found out the meet up time at Moore’s bait… it is 3pm.

Who’s in for pizza at Moores for weigh in time.

Let me know I will pick them up again if anyone is interested and would like to donate a couple of bucks?

Although the pizza and toppings (my favorite is eel and shad)sound good…I’m working hard at Evert’s resort…while all the tourney guys are out trying to put together a limit of bait known to many as walleyes.

Nice sturgeon (and flathead) pics! Anyone willing to give up their tips for catching eels? Or locations on the river that produce them? Same goes for buffalo fish. Haven’t caught either of these oddities in my time on the river . thanks.
