This was our first trip up to the Croix, and first time out for the new fisherman of the family, Brooklyn. Sure to be a fisherman, this is my wife and three month old in the pic. We had just a few hours afternoon into evening. We graphed plenty of fish in the 20 foot range, producing just a couple hits of the rapala on a three way. Wished we would have hit the bait store before heading out, I think that would have helped land maybe a couple anyway. Wife did manage one smallmouth and that was it for the boat. Not too bad considering the conditions and the time of day. Talked to someone at the landing headin out for the night bite, sounds like they are getting a few after hours.

And a picture with a couple of keepers!

The St Croix is a beautiful waterway.

It’s never a bad idea to stop into Jimmy’s just south of Stillwater on 95. Mad Mike the manager always has the hot bite info…maybe someone that’s getting married this week will get an extra computer for the store…(hint hint)

    Thanks for sharing kdp!
