Here’s a pic of my June 2006 “world record walleye” with wiskers! He had my #7 Perch Shad Rap completely sideways in his mouth. It’s been 2 years since I caught a big one like that, it was also on a #7 Shad Rap! I released it so BrianK could catch it downriver.

It was a blast with 8lb Fireline I really leaned on him hard after 15 minutes or so just to get it over with knowing it wasn’t an eye. I always get something worth a picture when I’m alone and don’t have the digital with. You should see the smallie pic of me holding it and trying to push the button with my long pliers

Hey Ferny – don’t listen to Brian. How about a PM with some details. I just got in from chasing those things (its 1:23am right now) and all I could catch was channel cats. Just point me in the right direction – thats all I ask. I’m not complaining about the channel cats, I got a 26″, 25″ and a 23″ and they were a blast to catch. It was a beautiful night but hot as heck. It was 80 degrees when I went by Bayport Bank at 12:45am. I’ll post a fishing report tomorrow.

Hey EyeJacker – How dare you malign that beautiful flathead. They don’t get much more real than that. Seems to me I recall you missing a big fish a few years ago – it was either a big flat or maybe that neutrally bouyant pontoon floating along the St Croix bottom ?
I gotta go to bed now – this late night catfishing is getting to me.

Hey C15, you have a superb memory, that was one of my early posts. As far as maligning the cat is concerned, that was offered in jest, strictly tongue and cheek, if my memory is serving me!
