I put in at Hudson… there are two launches: the one at the lakefront park is $5.25 for non-residents. There’s another one closer to the I-94 bridge. I haven’t gone there yet this year but I think it’s either free or on a honor system (and only a couple of bucks). If you want to fish the Kinni area, I think there’s one on the MN side down at the St. Croix Bluffs park area.

If you are fishing the Kinnie you want St Croix Bluffs Regional Park. Daily permit costs $5. Yearly permit costs $25. I get the yearly permit – gets you into all the Washington County parks and a host of other county parks. Well worth the investment. Here is the url: St Croix Bluffs Regional Park

I agree about St. Croix Bluffs Regional. Nice 3 wide launch. Quite a few parking spots (30-40?) 5 minutes north to the Kinne.

I believe the park opens between 5:30 – 6 am, and you have to be out by 10 pm. If you plan on launching during the weekend, get there early to get a spot, once the spots fill you have to wait in line until one opens.

the park opens at 6am and it closes at 10pm but you don’t have to be out of the park by 10 they have an automatic gate on the way out (opens when you pull up to it) i use this launch all the time best on the river imo

I love everthing about that launch especially the price! But have they fixed that trailer scraping ramp??? My trailer that hauls the 19 footer always grinds on that ramp. I know lots of guys with 18 foot and less boats don’t have problems. Have they fixed that problem yet?

The Hastings DNR public luanch is way underused and that’s free. Turk.

Turk, They have not fixed the scraping yet.
It is especially bad with low water.
Too bad since it’s so nice and cheap!
