Fished 7 am -1 pm Saturday.
trolled Kinni area with no takers.
Found some active fish in 20-25 FOW off Catfish Bar. Brought in a few barely legal walleye. Missed a few almost at the boat. Missed at least 20 solid hits- I am guessing all/most were walleye as I did not see any Sheepies caught (unusual!).
Trolled WI shoreline with no takers.
Seems to be a decent bite going on.
My brother and I also went out that morning. We start at the catfish bar catching only one keeper eye and letting go a few 12-14.5s in about 14-17 fow. The smallies were going crazy hitting crawlers and leeches. We moved to the Kinni when the rain came but no luck there.
Anyone try the ‘flats’ on the WI side north of Catfish (over by the YMCA camp)? I was going to head down there Saturday morning but stayed north, closer to the I-94 bridge on the WI side… I may be a bit early for the eyes to set up shop at that area??
