While fishing on the croix sunday I had an unusual encounter. I’m drifting along slowly and I see a squirrel paddling along straight at my boat. I watched him come right up to the side and I then lost sight of swimming rodent. I was sitting in the front of the boat and so I turned around to see the squirrel in the back of my boat. It ran accross the back,jumped off the side, and then swam to shore. Crazy squirrel!
It was nice of you to give the little critter a break from the water. 
Good thing you didn’t have the dog with.

I had that happen up on Cass while muskie fishing last fall. I kept waiting for the water to blow-up while he was swimming, but the little bugger made it to shore. I just don’t see how a muskie would not eat one of those while it was swimming, it sure looked good to me
